Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen

Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
And cut her auburn hair short.
She walks by the day
Never flying again,
Quite happy to be
Her own.

Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
And watches the Dee rolling by.
In her eyes – the flashes of autumn,
Her arms still longing for flight.

Blodeuwedd is renting a house
With a garden and flower beds
Blodeuwedd rarely smiles,
But deep in her heart she cares.

Blodeuwedd knows the ravens
Who circle the house by night,
Blodeuwedd knits wondrous blankets
With colours of rain and moonlight.

Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
As she likes the sound of the name,
Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
Perhaps she’ll be moving again.

Blodeuwedd is free to travel,
She’s free to do all she wants,
As threads begin to unravel,
She sings to the rivers and stones.

Blodeuwedd misses her husband,
Who comes by as summer unfolds,
Blodeuwedd waits for her husband
To call her in tender, soft voice.

Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
And watches the Dee rolling by…
Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
To forget all the pain and lies.

Blodeuwedd has moved to Llangollen,
And cut her auburn hair short.
She walks by the day
Never flying again,
Quite happy to be
Her own..?
